Democrats attacking Matt Gaetz prove they learned nothing

Oh, how utterly shocking that the Democrats are back at it, proving once again they’ve learned absolutely nothing from their recent electoral humiliation. Two months post-Trump’s landslide victory, and here they are, still playing the same old tune on their virtue-signaling violin, completely tone-deaf to the symphony of real American woes like inflation, crime, and crumbling infrastructure.

But hey, why deal with those pesky issues when you can spend three and a half years and who knows how many taxpayer dollars to produce a report on Matt Gaetz? Because, naturally, the presumption of innocence is so last century when it comes to Republicans, right? The House Ethics Committee, in a move that’s about as unprecedented as Democrats not taking responsibility, decided to release this report, ostensibly to make Gaetz the poster boy for Republican scandal.

And what do we get for this spectacle? Lawyers for Gaetz crying foul over the committee’s flagrant disregard for due process and constitutional rights. But who cares about that when you’ve got political points to score?

Speaking of journalism, where’s the unbiased reporting we were all promised? Thankfully, Mollie Hemingway from The Federalist had the journalistic integrity to dive into the muck where others feared to tread, revealing that the accuser in the Gaetz case is, wait for it, currently in prison for similar false accusations. But why let facts get in the way of a good narrative?

The Democrats’ obsession with this report isn’t just about Gaetz; it’s a clear signal they’re more interested in what? Oh, right, fundraising, gloating, and maybe a little revenge. They’ve forgotten the very voters they claim to champion鈥攖he working class and the disenfranchised. Instead, they’re busy with their usual strategy of mud-slinging and fantasizing about another Trump impeachment, completely ignoring the actual governance and policy successes that got him re-elected.

So, bravo Democrats, for once again showing us that when it comes to learning from your losses, you’re as clueless as ever. Keep up the good work; I’m sure the Republicans are just thrilled at your continued descent into political irrelevance.
